The AI Token Counter lets you estimate how many tokens your text will consume before you send it to an AI model. It's built for developers and prompt engineers who want to reduce API costs, stay within context window limits, and compare tokenisation across providers without trial and error.
Which AI providers does the Token Counter support?
The Token Counter currently supports OpenAI (GPT-4, GPT-3.5, etc.) and Anthropic (Claude). You can paste any text and instantly see token counts for each provider, since they use different tokenisation methods and the same prompt can cost significantly different amounts across models.
Does the Token Counter send my text to any server?
No. All tokenisation runs entirely in your browser using client-side logic. The text you paste into the Token Counter never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third-party service.
What can I do with the Text Tools?
Text Tools is a collection of focused utilities for developers and content creators. Current tools include a Text to Array converter (turns any list into a formatted code array), a Repeat Text generator (duplicates text N times with a custom separator), and a Number to Words converter. More text utilities are being added regularly.
What does the Number to Words converter do?
It converts any numeric value — including large numbers, decimals, and currency amounts — into written English words. Useful for writing cheques, legal documents, invoices, or any context where numbers need to be spelled out in full.
What formats does the Color Converter support?
The Color Converter currently supports conversions between RGB and Hex formats, including both RGB to Hex and Hex to RGB directions. Support for HSL, HSV, CMYK, and other colour spaces is planned for upcoming updates.
How does the Grade Calculator work?
Enter your assignments, exams, and coursework with their respective weights and scores. The Grade Calculator computes your current weighted average in real time and lets you model what score you'd need on upcoming assessments to reach a target grade.
What is the difference between the Grade Calculator and the GPA Calculator?
The Grade Calculator is for a single course — it handles weighted components like homework, midterms, and finals to give you your final grade. The GPA Calculator is for tracking your academic standing across multiple courses: enter each course's grade and credit hours to see your semester GPA and cumulative GPA together.
Can I customise how the site looks?
